CSS and CARP

Overview

For our quarter 3 web project, we re-designed a poem about a dog. I used Adobe Dreamweaver to create my project. The HTML file was changed using the CSS designer. You can change the properties of the different components in the program.  The two attached pictures show the before and after of the HTML files.

Contrast

I changed the color of the title, so it was different than other parts of the project. The font in the title was also changed. In the first paragraph, the very first line was bolded to create contrast. The background was also a different color than the other background.

Alignment

The poem was aligned to the right, while the picture of the dog was to the left. The title was center aligned to show it was important. This made the project look more organized.

Repetition

The color of the title matches part of the dog's fur. This color appears again at the bottom of the screen and also at the top. Th lighter background color was also repeated from the dog.

Proximity

The poem was grouped together because the color was the same. The dog was in its own group to the left. In the title, the color was the same so it was its own group.

Conclusion

During this project, I learned a lot about CSS Designer and web design. I learned how to change the properties in CSS. I also learned more about Dreamweaver because I haven't used it a lot. It is interesting to see the way the file changes if you change the code or the properties. It was fun to learn how to create HTML files in Dreamweaver, and using the CSS designer.
